Kusuki, a fugitive who is suffering from memory loss, serves as the lead character in Muramasa: The Demon Blade Wii. Kusuki could not remember anything, including a crime he has committed and Momohime, a young princess who is suffering from a dark spirit possession. Two different characters can be played by the players in two different levels of difficulty.

Over 30 different stages are featured in Muramasa: The Demon Blade Wii. Players can play the role of Kusuki, the amnesiac ninja, or of Momohime, the possessed princess. Other characters in the game include Jinkuro Izuna, Kongiku, Yuzuruha, Torahime, Yukinojyo Yagyu and many others.

The weapons used in Muramasa: The Demon Blade Wii are also classified according to two different categories. These groups are Blade (tachi) and the Long Blade (otachi). More appropriate for defeating a team of weak opponents, the Blade is bigger in size and in potential damage. Because of its shorter attack interval, the Long Blade is considered more appropriate for combats and battles requiring high agility.

A Secret Art (ogi), a powerful attack technique, is considered to be hidden in each sword. Players are not advised to overuse any sword to avoid making its ‘Soul Gauge’ depleted. The depletion of the ‘Soul Gauge’ might cause the breaking of the sword and the loss of substantial part of its power. Three modes are also featured in the game: Muso (character leveling), Shura (action-based) and Shirugui.

It’s a fun game and it’s going to make you feel a little relieved and entertained with the graphics and music. Play the role of Mario, the ultimate hero and save Princess Peach from the dreadful wedding with Bowser – the bad guy that you love to hate. With 20-25 hours, the whole game can be finished so it’s advisable to just save it if you can’t go on that long. Aside from the main limelight quest that you have to partake in this adventure, there are also a lot of side quests to take.

Most of the game is in 2D and at the beginning of Super Paper Mario Wii, Mario is able to change into 3D. Changing into 3D then gives the player the ability to move around obstacles which is not passable in the 2D perspective. When Mario changes into 3D it reveals the z-axis where there are several landscapes and items to acquire. Though, Mario cannot stay too long in the 3D environment because it decreases his health.

These are just some of the awesome features that you can get from Super Paper Mario Wii. Mario game never really fail to be interesting.
