Two decades ago, A Boy and His Blob: Trouble on Bobolonia video game was developed by David Crane for the Nintendo System. In Japan, A Boy and His Blob Wii is known as Fushigina Blobby: Blobania no Kiki (as translated to Mysterious Blobby: The Crisis of Blobania).

The game revolves around the main character and his friend, Blob (or Blobert) who are taking a journey with the desire of winning against the evil emperor. In their quest to defeat their enemy, they travel together on Earth and on Blobolonia, the home planet of Blob. Their quest would take them to four different worlds with very dissimc  ilar environments. Some of the locations the boy and Blob will be taken to are the citadel, the underground and the wilderness.

With the unique protagonists, the storyline in A Boy and His Blob Wii is quite interesting. The main character is called to help the alien save his home planet, Blobolonia, from the evil emperor. Feeding Blob with jelly beans can transform him to several different items including a ladder and a hummingbird. To transform Blob back to his original form, a whistle is necessary. These transformations equip the boy with the skills, weapons and techniques necessary in accomplishing the tasks. The boy and Blob can use vitamins as their weapons in defeating the evil emperor. Having a sweet tooth, the evil emperor can suffer so much or even die through vitamins.

You will certainly not notice the passing of the time since you will be glued to the four themed locales with 40 different adventure levels spread across. Three treasure chests hidden in each stage must also be collected by the dynamic duo to unlock bonus challenge levels. A Boy and His Blob Wii is indeed characterized by environmental puzzles, necessary brainwork, and the transformational powers of the alien. Entertaining platformed challenges are also evident. In addition, the remarkable interplanetary friendship makes this game a thumbs up.

For those who think that Rayman Raving Rabbids Wii video game is just an like your average Wii game, then you’re totally mistaken. It absolutely lets out full potential capabilities of Nintendo Wii as a total game console. Compared to all the other platform games this one takes in a lot of humor – the rabbids are extremely hilarious. The other stuff added to this is that you can unlock mini-games in the middle and these are really nice collections. Just be a little creative and use your Wii Remote in a lot of different ways.

There are only two different modes in Rayman Raving Rabbids Wii video game which as Story mode also known as adventure mode and Score Mode. In Story Mode or adventure mode, the game monitors fifteen days of Rayman being imprisoned by the Rabbids. In every day, there are three trials that Rayman must complete and one “boss trial”, activities in this mode include racing using a warthog and shooting using a plunger. In every trial that he performs, he gets to acquire several items such as costumes and matching soundtracks such as Gangsta, Disco, Raymaninho, Gothic, Granny, Rock’n Roll, Caramba, Bunny and Deejay. In each trial, Rayman also earns plungers and when he has gathered enough, he then makes a ladder up to the jail’s edge to escape. On the other hand, the Score Mode allows player to perform past trials to improve score or in a multiplayer party game.

There are also several minigames that are categorized in four categories which are Challenges, ‘Shake your Booty!’ Dancing, Sports and Bunny Hunt.  These minigames can earn Rayman more points and also other items.

Just recently, Super Mario Galaxy Wii won the Best Game Award from BAFTA – British Academy Video Games Award. And it’s amazing how this game beat the other nominees. Besides selling millions, it’s also impressed the critics and has been the top pick. Now who can beat that? It has beautiful graphic design, perfect controls, the soundtrack is just great and lots of stardusts to collect. Super Mario Galaxy Wii is all about Mario who is on a mission to save Princess Peach from the antagonist Browser. Each level presents galaxies that has worlds and minor planets and the gameplay is upgraded with new power-ups and gravity effects.

As Mario journeys from galaxy to galaxy, he must collect Power Stars on each quest or by beating opponents. The game makes use of a new physics system that provides each celestial object their very own gravitational force that allows the player to completely navigate around different shapes of planetoids. With the new physics system, the player can walk upside down or sideways. Super Mario Galaxy Wii also allows a  player to jump from one object and fall to another nearby object. The game is mostly set in a 3D environment but there are also areas in the game where the movements are limited in 2D.
