The lead character in this game is a timid boy that found a mysterious crown. This crown enables him to charm others and command them. He rules a village and his ultimate goal is to expand his village and make sure that his people are happy. The game has a combination of adventure and real time elements. According to Yasuhiro Wada, the game is set in Europe and is a single-player-life-simulation game.
In Little King’s Story RPG game Wii, the player is set to control Corobo, the new king. The game starts in a cluttered field where the king orders his people to do several activities to upgrade their village. Such activities involve hunting, fighting and the like. In a few hours, after such activities are performed they earn profit which is then used to build houses/buildings, facilities and other commodities. On the other hand, the population gradually grows as the village is upgraded. Financial and population stats are displayed on the screen.

The player can choose citizens whom Corobo wishes to command. The player can only command one citizen at a time and he can also have several citizens follow Corobo. At the start of the Little King’s Story RPG game Wii, a podium is used where the citizens can gather and the player can choose citizen to command so he will not have to walk around.
